Real choice is not part of the bills moving through the Democratic-led Congress; even if the much-debated government-run insurance plan was created, it would not be available to most people who already have coverage. Republicans, meanwhile, have shown no interest in making insurance choice part of a compromise they could accept. Both parties are protecting the insurers.

It's not just the insurance companies spreading this crap. Physicians are getting in on the act as well. You wouldn't believe the conversation I had with someone recently who had just come back from Quincy Medical Group where his physician had tried to convince him that Obama was going to take away his healthcare and steal all his money! I've never seen such vile lies propogated about ANY issue in all my years.
ReplyDeleteWell, couple of docs had Alan Keyes signs in their yards when Keyes ran for Senate from Illinois. If they're no brighter than that I wouldn't want one of them to touch me!
